This is a Reichsrevolver Model 1883 Officer’s Model with checkered grips. This one was made by Suhl consortium of V.C.S. & C.G.H. It is all matching numbers, 701 with very good mechanical function, crisp and tight action.Has Been Deactivated but all parts are still intact so can be reactivated, The bore is excellent, bright and shinny with strong rifling. The Officer’s revolver was inherited, Unit Markings = S. 4118, My understanding is that 44 S&W Russian is about the same as 10.55 mm, so 44 S&W Russian brass could be used to reload black powder equivalent ammo for it. It comed with 5 original bullets. Provenance Inherited. Has been appraised at R19000
